This is all new for our family, what does the therapy process look like?
We get it—it can feel overwhelming and confusing—let’s break it down:

Book a free consultation to discuss questions/concerns
-
If recommended, schedule an evaluation
-
Complete evaluation/assessment process
-
Discuss results
-
If recommended, therapy can begin
What is the frequency and duration of therapy?
The frequency and duration of treatment sessions is based on a child’s individualized need. Typically, sessions can range from 45-60 minutes, once or twice a week. There is not an average number of months/years that a child receives therapy.
Does Happy Brain provide teletherapy?
The majority of our sessions are one-on-one, in-person at our Happy Brain clinic in Fresno. However, we understand that it is not always possible for families to come in for session, so we can supplement in-person treatment with teletherapy when necessary and deemed clinically appropriate.
how do you pay for services?
At this time, Happy Brain accepts Kaiser and Private Pay clients.
For private pay, upon request, you can be provided with a monthly Superbill, in which you can then submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. Happy Brain does not guarantee insurance reimbursement, and it is the client’s responsibility to check whether their insurance can provide reimbursement. Insurance will often ask for CPT codes. Current Procedural Terminology, or CPT codes, are a uniform system of numeric and alphanumeric codes used to describe medical services and procedures. Please contact your therapist for specific CPT codes.
What forms of payment does Happy Brain accept?
All major debit card, credit card, or a Health Savings Account (HS) card.
What are Happy Brain’s attendance and cancellation policies?
Attendance is VITAL for your child’s progress. Sessions need to be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a late cancellation/no-show fee. If your child suddenly becomes ill or an emergency occurs, please contact us immediately.
If an in-person session cannot take place, we will attempt to move the session to teletherapy.
How many sessions can be missed?
Due to the high demand in the community for services as well Happy Brain viability, three consecutive absences or continued irregular attendance may result in the child’s services being placed on hold. Happy Brain reserves the right to suspend services based on excessive tardiness and/or absenteeism. If, after starting services, your family will be on vacation for more than three weeks your therapy timeslot is not guaranteed upon your return.
